Let’s be honest, waxing can cause some discomfort but the sensation is often described as a brief, sharp sting or as I like to say “a little spicy” similar to a small slap your mum would give you as a child or like ripping of a plaster. This varies for each client, but with regular waxing will become less.
You should come every 4 weeks for repeat booking, over time growth will become less visible allowing more time between waxes.
I only use hot wax when waxing your intimate area as hot wax clings to your hair and not the skin promoting a more comfortable experience.
Before waxing exfoliate 24-48 hours before to remove dead skins cells and release any trapped hair to prevent ingrown hairs. Avoid applying any cream or oils to the skin prior to coming in for your wax.
After waxing avoid heat treatments, friction, excerise and wearing tight clothing for 24 hours, Exfoliate after 48 hours if necessary to prevent ingrown hairs.
Yes!… You can wax on a period just as long as you are wearing a clean tampon upon your visit, Please also bear in mind you will feel a little more sensitive during this time.
Yes!… waxing while pregnant is perfectly fine, However please ensure you let me know prior to coming in, Please bare in mind you will feel more sensitive during this time.
I require at least 3-4 weeks of growth after shaving if you decide to wax. Anything before this time can mean hair being left behind because the hair is too short.
Please don’t worry this is often an involuntary response to the manipulation of clients genitals during the waxing service and nothing to do with sexual arousal, This will subside fairly rapidly.
I will usually carry on asking client to hold himself out the way.
No!…please do not trim prior to coming in as you’ll definitely trim the hair too short so please come as you are full bush and I will trim if necessary.
I recommend every 4 weeks in order to catch the hair at the right length in preparation for completing hair removal. Regular waxing ensures the hair grows back finer & sparser and therefore less painful
For most areas hair should be 2-3mm, ( the length of a grain of rice) you’ll need slightly longer if you’ve been shaving between waxes
Typically 4-6 weeks depending on rate of hair growth and consistency of regular waxing.
This is normal after waxing for the first few times and will usually resolve itself with proper aftercare, please avoid picking or touching the area & exfoliate if possible.
No sexy time for at least 24 hours (if you can resist)
You can but it’s not advised. As waxing removes the hair from its root encouraging complete hair removal when waxing, Shaving will only disrupt this process leaving you with short, ingrown hairs.
